Trance Camp offers an amazing chance to train and work with Stephen Gilligan Ph.D. in Sydney, Australia.

Stephen was among the group of students that gathered around the founders of NLP during its formation at U.C. Santa Cruz from 1974-1977. Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson became his teachers and mentors.

Stephen became one of the premier teachers and practitioners of Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Motivated by his experiences as a therapist, a teacher, and by his own quest, he developed a new practice of radical awakening incorporating Ericksonian psychotherapy, Aikido, Buddhism, meditation, and the performance arts.

His work, known as Self-relations Psychotherapy, reconnects mind-body processes and encourages and supports radical change. The cornerstone of Self-Relations Psychotherapy is the understandings and processes of Sponsorship.

Trance Camp is an experiential workshop for those interested in exploring trance and its relevance to creativity and change. Choose from  a 6 or 12 day workshop, which will serve to be a transformational journey for experienced hypnotherapists and people new or interested in the field.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn techniques for developing generative trance
  • Establish a deep connection with your creative unconsciousness
  • Identify and transform limiting beliefs
  • Transform negative trances (ie. depression, anxiety, etc.)
  • Use trance to reach a level of higher consciousness
  • Integrate conscious and unconscious mind into a "generative self"
This year’s Trance Camp is devoted to the theme of Generative Trance as a state of higher consciousness that can be developed and used in many ways. “Generative” means the act of creating something that has never existed before—an idea, a social reality, a specific result in the world, a psychological identity, a new behavioral pattern, etc. It is the process of going beyond where you’ve ever been, and beyond where you’ve thought possible. The course explores how generative trance can be developed and utilized for these purposes.
